Belly Dance with SARITA
SARITA MILETA has been teaching and performing Egyptian Oriental Belly Dance for over 25 years.Her teaching style and methodology is influenced by her many years of combined training in various disciplines including jazz, flamenco, ballet, Afro Cuban dance, Salsa, Polynesian as well as Near Eastern forms.She has a logical & systematic approach with solid technique as a basis. Sarita has a warm and generous personality and lends much fun and laughter to her classes. She creates a friendly environment where students are encouraged and empowered. Sarita performs each and every weekend at Kalypso Restaurant on Robson St. in Vancouver.
DANI Ever the dancer, ever the performer, Dani has trained in many styles of movement since the tender age of 5. Ballet, gymnastics, tap, and figure skating to name a few. Always intrigued by belly dance, she took her first class in 1999. Since then, Dani has immersed herself in the dance and studies with as many dancers as she can.
Almost as deep as her love for dancing, is her love for teaching dance, which she first discovered at age 12. Whether teaching beginners their very first steps, or choreographing an elaborate dance, Dani takes deep satisfaction in sharing the joy of movement with others.
DELIA Delia Anderson is the original "Tribal" style bellydancer and has been teaching and performing in Vancouver for over 40 years. Her unique talent for Gypsy dance stylings has no rival. Delia draws from all related dance forms ie Flamenco, Bharata Natyam, Afro Cuban & Middle Eastern to inspire her dance style. A former instructor at Vancouver's legendary TERPSICHORE Dance Company, Delia also has solid training & experience in Ballet & Modern Dance. Delia will teach the various stylings for Gypsy belly dance fusion. Learn beautiful postures and poses with intricate arm and hand positions to frame and compliment your movements. Learn how to incorporate the richness of Indian, Flamenco and African traditions into your belly dance performance.
RAHMA
A performer and teacher of ‘bellydance’ since 1975, Rahma has an impressive record of film and T.V. appearances, and articles and reviews - both nationally and internationally. As a teacher, Rahma’s renowned ability to break down dance into easily learnable form stems from both her training as a teacher and her genuine desire for her students to learn. As a performer, the elegantly sensual and joyful expression of spirit that is embodied in Rahma’s personal style is dependent on her intense connection with, and spontaneous response to the music. She has been a true inspiration to many, from professionals to those who dance solely for personal joy and fitness.
